Amazons & gravel?

Mealtime is very much a "flock activity" around here. When I fix dinner for us, the birds get their dinner too - only they get fed first, and they usually get a little bit of what ever we are having.

That way we can eat in peace!

Animals at the table, or begging for food is where I draw the line.

Her presence at the table is GREAT! I live alone, just me the 2 cats, the aquarium full of fish and now Zilla. The cat's don't think anything I eat is worth their time to even investigate (except Sassy when I have yogurt, her favorite) or if I open a tuna can. They refuse to eat the tuna, but they do like the water I pour off the tuna!

"breakfast" with Zilla is calm and she prefers to eat in her cage while I drink my coffee (I'm not a breakfast eater, so she doesn't see it as mealtime I guess) as long as I am near and talking to her she will eat and chatter back at me.

Dinner time however can be another matter all together! She calls "hello" to me the entire time I am in the kitchen! I call "hello" back to her so she hopefully won't start screaming. Then she sits on my arm while I am eating and tries to steal things off my fork. She never goes for the plate, she wants what is on the fork.

I love the interaction with her and am getting to know her likes/dislikes more and more every day. I will just keep trying new and different things until I find what works for both of us.
