Mara I commend you for saving Diesel! I understand your point completely you were looking to better his life. In the case I'm referring to I doubt that's the guys MO he clearly stated he wants the animal for security reasons, I just wanna give you a quick run of vets costs in SA that's why I'm doubtfull of the care the animal will receive. Ok R500,00 spca rehoming fee all inclusive of innoculations, spaying and microchipping. Vets: R600,00 rand for 1 round of shots, they get done 3 times.R200,00 microchip, R2500.00 spaying or neutering. R 350,00 per rabies vaccine needed to be repeated at some time in their lives more often in rabies infested areas. So you see if he cannot afford R500,00. What chance does the animal have of even getting one set of innoculations payed for? I personally feel for him as he obviously feels he needs protection, but I think he must wait till he can afford the proper care. Again I commend you on saving Diesel, he's a lucky boy indeed! I also do not ask a fee for my pets, but I do have a condition that whoever takes one, needs to come show me the vet book with innoculations, so I know they taking care of the animal, prevention is always better than cure!
