All I needed was.............

Wendy, you did a wonderful job with the landscaping. Gorgeous photos. What happened with the onions/daffodils? Did the boys replant them for you?

Your snowscape is pretty too, Terry. :)

everyone remember Allee is in Texas... a white landscape for the last 4 months may not be pretty to most of us north of the Mason Dixon line, but she's allowed to still think 'its pretty'.... personally it was white enough this winter to last me a lifetime, and I like when it snows... just not when its so much and so often that you can't see see around corners to turn onto a road - for months at a time!! :09:

Thank you, Allee. :)
Oh yes, we made them re-plant those that they didn't manage to mangle during their slaughter. You see, they were in full bloom at that time, and they literally chopped some of the bulbs (onions) in half.

I am scared for my little rose bush too!! It doesn't look so good right now. What a winter.

If you can take a picture, Patti, that would help. What color are the canes? It's the super old rose bush, right? I'll keep my fingers crossed it will come back for you.

OOOH, i went to take a pic yesterday when i got home and....i see signs of life on my rose bush. It still looks sickly, but i am thinking of cutting off the obviously sick parts and feeding and trying to nurture the parts that are showing life!! I think it still can bounce back this year. :)

YAY! Those are great news, Patti!!! I'm fairly certain that your rose bush is growing on her own roots, so it's really difficult to kill that off completely. :)

The ones I lost were grafted, and even though I buried the graft union way below the soil level they died. They were never supposed to grow in our climate zone, so I was pretty lucky to have had them for as long as I did.

I just ordered 20 lbs of Espoma Rosetone....I am SO ready for the blooming season. :D

I noticed the other day my sedum is popping up, while everything else looks dead.
I can't wait for my Hydrangea to start blooming and my rose of sharon.

we would love to have landscaping, but I think the dogs would find a way to destroy it somehow when they run around after each other.

my dogs use to dig huge holes in my garden, of course this is just after I added tons of bags of beautiful black soil, dirt was all over the deck, all over my nice newly planted plants....lets just say I saw SMOKE!!!

I got so fed up, I put fairly big rocks in my garden.....sigh.....that is the extent of my landscaping.....but the good news is no more DIGGING!!...darn dogs.....

Wendy I'm still giggling at the daffodil massacre lol I can imagine your horror when you found out what onions they just harvested  I probably would've had the urge to strangle someone lol

Speaking of hydrangeas.... One of mine died :( I had two; each in a half wine barrel...they were on the verge of needing to be replanted, but I was waiting till the house is done. 😫😫

Your flowers are stunning, Wendy!! I'm so jealous, I can't get anything to grow - not even WEEDS :(

Uhm...Terry - your er...garden...is lovely too ;)

I wish it was only 4 months...we got our first snow at the end of Oct., and are supposed to have more flurries today:(
I don't feel safe putting out flowers until after Memorial day.
But that being said, I can enjoy Wendy's beautiful flowers and pretend i am there watching her weed her garden:)

Oh I HATE weeding....it is back breaking work.

I also call it a 'make work program'.....only to have them come back weeks later and do it ALL OVER AGAIN.... like I have nothing better to do with my time....geez.

Terry- I can send you a garbage full of weeds if you like, just let me know what types you prefer.....I am partial to the dandelions myself ;)...those pretty yellow things just crop up where ever they like.....

I am actually going to move all my dandelions to a garden space for the birds this year...can't wait to see the look on my neighbours faces!

Talking about weeds, I made my own concoction of weed/vegetation killer. It's all natural and works GREAT. :)

You'll need a gallon of regular vinegar, 2km table salt, 2 tbs dish detergent.

Heat up some of the vinegar so that you can dissolve the salt. Add all ingredients into a pump tank sprayer and spray directly onto weeds. Be EXTRA careful not to get this stuff on anything you WANT to grow. It kills EVERYTHING in matters of a few hours. :D

Wendy your primroses are absolutely gorgeous WoW
Your garden is set out stunningly
Can't wait to see everything in full bloom
