hi,
i own a baby alexandrine parrot between 1- 1.5 months old..
the bird use to be very active inside it s box and outside too..

today i have noticed that

its activesness level has reduced little,

less interested in its surrounding,

i have seen it sneezing 3 times in 2 mins..

it keeps its right eye closed mostly (i havent seen any infection so far)..

buries its head in the wooden peels inside the box

stretches its wings and legs a lot than it use to..

its poop also changed.. more water less poop. earlier its poop was green and was like thick noodle now its not that green(greenish yellow) and thin noodle..

sleeps a lot..

whats happening..what should i do ..

changes i made..

made his diet thicker..reduced the water content(nutribird A-19)

I would strongly suggest a visit to your local Certified Avian Vet, not a dog and cat vet. Parrots hide illness really well, so by the time they are showing any symptoms, they are really sick! Hope he fells better after the visit.

hi,my bird is now ok..

i traced the root cause.

It was nutribird versele-laga A19 hand feed.

i switched back to my home made pulse -ceareal paste diet..

everything is normal.

it appears nutribird versele-laga A-19 is not for alexandrine parrots
