Pretty baby! Bless you for rescuing them :)

I get a little envious of you Budgie dads & moms. Budgies are so outgoing and sassy. Due to their shy nature, my Rosy Bourke's are probably never going to be cuddly towards me. Im glad theyre a happy couple, but Im sort of sad they dont want to include me ;p

Your budgies are smart enough to know a good man when they see one!

Congratulations! Patience is key, but birds sometimes have an innate sense of people. Your budgie chose wisely!

You can post images two ways:

1- Click "Photo Gallery" on top blue border of forum page, slightly offset to left. Select "Upload" located near upper right of new page. Size and storage limits apply. So....

2- Best method is to use an image hosting site. Many of us prefer Imgur; no cost and very user friendly. www.imgur.com

Ah I keep reading that Bourkes are shy , and that untamed or socialized birds may never come to you, so who knows?

My female did sit on my arm once, last week. Though she was flying around the room at the time , nd I think she just forgot that my arm was connected to m and landed there, lol
i thnk out of all the perches i put out in the room for them to land on, my male was most interested on trying to perch on my bamboo backscratcher that sits on my desk. He kept looking at me, then hopping on the backscratcher, then looking at me, and I was cracking up.

Congrats!
I just want to say this one thing however, I would suggest not rubbing his belly. It's seen as sexual from a birds eyes. He may think that you want to mate with him which will cause problems later.
