Hoping to add a member to the family soon
I hoping to soon get my first large bird. I have a great support system (friends with Macaw and Greys) however I was wondering what kind of advice you could give me. as a first time mom.:blue1: thanks

Hi there, I'd love to help you on your search for a feathered companion. Have you ever had birds before? If not, I would not recommend macaws, as they are arguably the most expensive and the loudest and most time consuming birds. But if you have some experience, and you want a large bird, I would consider blue and gold macaws. I'd love to hear more about what your looking for in a companion.

Do you have a certain kind in mind? Were you thinking of a Grey or a macaw like your friends have?
I would suggest that you do lots of research to help you come to a decision. It definitely helped me to choose not only what kind of bird I wanted to get, but also what kind of bird was right for my household.
It's so exciting when you are in the planning stage for adding a feathered friend!
Good luck!

i dont have a large bird so i cant help much. bt i will say, make sure you do enough research and are fully prepared for bringing a large bird in your home. good luck! there are plenty of people here that can help!

The best advice I can give is: the larger the bird, the more time it will require.
You think you can get around it, I thought the same thing. Its impossible.
