Can anyone offer any advice regarding behaviour of my blue fronted amazon I've had near on a year now my first ever bird so no experience stupidly never did any background research. And even more stupidly I'm now terrified of "her" or so I was informed she was a girl when I bought her "lucy" not once have I got any further on then her taking food out of my hands, this has now stopped since she has started taking it rather aggressively. I was only told she didn't like females seconds after I passed over the money I paid for her. I've been told parrots take to one person is this correct? Considering I'm the only one in the house I didn't expect this to be still a problem a year on, she certainly adores male attention allowing them to put an arm out for her to then climb up on to their shoulder. Anytime I'm to go near the cage she nearly falls off the cage door in attempt to go for me.. I'm really bothered by this as I absolutely adore her, don't gey me wrong there are plenty of occasions when she has very much enjoyed the attention I've given her or so it seems especially when I leave the room and come back a while later. This video taken yesterday was how she reacts with me , apart from all the tail fanning I'm not lucky enough to get this kind of a welcome. Mine stops just before this stage. This reaction she showed to a male friend yesterday struck me as odd as I never seen her ever react this way before can anyone tell me what the best solution is going forward please
Kindest regards
