Me and my girlfriend ran into a woman one day who had a blue and gold macaw with her and we went up to talk to her because my girlfriend has always wanted one. Turns out that the bird was a rescue and the woman gave us her number and said to call her later and that her friend that runs a rescue is supposed to be getting some birds in soon. 4 macaws 1 African grey and 1 cockatoo. Anyway she told us to come by her house so we could see her macaws to make sure we'd still want one. Personally I want a African grey but if I found a bird that liked me I wouldn't care about what species it was. Anyway we went there and saw her birds and from the experience so far, I'd rather have a cockatoo or a African grey but I'm still open to other species if it picks me. Needless to say it was quite an experience, , now its only a matter on waiting and seeing the birds.
