Bayshing,harlaquin macaw
Fawx,greenwing macaw
Rizzo,greenwing macaw
Polly,catalina macaw
Now that Fawx is getting a little older can i start putting things in her food. Like peanut butter for colaries, or fruit (mushed of course) To give her that extra umph of nutrition. I ordered roudy bush baby food from my lps but it hasnt come in yet . So till then she is getting Kaytee. I have been waiting for 3 weeks now. So is there anything i should or can add to her food?

I use baby foods from the grocery store to mix in with handfeeding formula, fresh is also good, but you can find so many different baby foods. Mine like things like carrot, sweet potatoe, green pea, etc. Variety is best and vit A rich foods are something good to get them used to. PS is there a reason your switching brands? That's something i try not to do. Some birds can do it but some have problems. if you've been using kaytee ,i'd keep a little around ,just in case.

I'll keep the Kaytee just in case. I just always thought roudy bush and harrisons was the better food. The baby food is a good idea I'll have to try that. When i was ordering my baby the breeder told me to put peanut butter in her food when she got to be older. I always thought peanut butter was bad protien for birds though and was only suposed to be for a snack.

All mine were raised on Kaytee and YES on the baby food!!! All ours were given that as well (we used all organic baby food). We used the powdered/flaked at first and then added the puree type. Not only is it good for them, it stretches out the bird formula which ain't cheap. :)

FWIW, Terrie raised Salsa on Kaytee formula and he grew up to be quite big, strong, full of energy, and happy :) He weighs well over 1600 grams on an empty crop now! (he's been in the 1620s during the past week). The Kaytee must give them a fairly good foundation for nutrition and growth.
