With the construction of my inlaw's home came the blossoming of a new friendship between my husband and a fellow contractor who lives nearby annnnnnnd has a curly willow tree in their front yard.

After hubby gave him a tour of our house and the guy saw all of my DIY bird things -mainly Chili's grape wood gym- he said we could have all the curly willow trimmings we wanted.

That was a few months ago, and we finally got around to picking up this season's trimmings (and apparently it grows REALLY fast and needs to be trimmed again already)

I think I need a bigger garage lol... Now I have a load of curly willow, tons of apple wood, and a little bit of grape wood in my wood stash [emoji41] woo hoo!!!

Wow...those are really nice!

Yaayyy! Can't wait to see what you create with those pretty branches!

I was expecting teeny tiny twiggy branches, and I got these huge, twisty long pieces lol

Lots of cool perches from these [emoji41] *happy dance*

Manna just falls from the sky for you when it comes to wood, doesn't it? Hahaha! Very much looking forward to more of your DIY projects!

I better get my act together and start making stuff because it's starting to pile up [emoji51] poor hubby thought he finally had a space for a man cave and it's gone to the birds!! :p lol *innocent look*

I finally got around to power washing all the curly willow trimmings I got- the bark flew right off, which is fine because the pieces look gorgeous without it!

Some of these pieces are taller than me!!

Now they're all hanging in the garage to dry

I think I need a bigger garage.... [emoji41]
