Eclectus and awaiting African Grey
About to bring home a African grey timneh and i already have an male eclectus. I read post just a lil while ago and it said it should not mix the two on the same stand if this is true then how should I handle them together. Just a lil side note I am currently working my ekky from his cage aggression from us having visitors for about six months and was not able to allow him out as much because of how scared they were of him.. He is doing very well again so i'm not as worried about my ekky and the two will have seperate cages but our tag is due home in july and just wondering how I should go about handling this small situation...:green2::grey:

Good question.

I'm sure you could have them both out on top of their cages, and you could talk to them. For playing, I think you could have them together under close supervision.

Are all wings clipped on your birds or are they flighted? This could make a big difference in the amt. of control you have. I would go slow and be very observant of their body language. Is the Timneh used to other birds? I would keep this one sep. for a while because of the stress factor of a new home. Good luck and have fun. Please let us know how it goes.

To answer they are both clipped but with all being said the fact that he is a new addition would make sense to keep them seperated. we would not want to add more stress to him coming into a new home!! that is why i love this forum 2 heads are better than one thanks guys:)
