Addicted to birds? Multi-bird house...?

I truly think adding an Amazon would be AMAZING. ;) I'm only a wee bit partial to those green guys and gals. :54:

You worked true magic on Jackie!! :)

I'd like to stay open to any species if I'm going to foster. Others have said I could probably handle a Mac, but honestly I don't know if I could because I am *really* scared of losing a finger or needing stitches. Lol. Or maybe I just need to grow a pair and get over it.

The most I ever had at any given time was 11...

With my five, I would be cheating someone out of their one on one time, if I bought in more birds. That would negatively affect the relationship I have with the ones I've already got...

Plus, macaws and amazons are very jealous birds...

At this point, I have a really, really nice flock etiquette, and I have everyone pretty well trained...

Yes, I am a parrot addict, but I am addicted to the ones I've already got!

(But yeah, I miss my little conures sometimes. I still miss my BFA... AND if someone ever offered me a Hy... )

But, really, my five are enough.

I see your point that bringing in more birds could have a negative impact for your flock, and it's good to know when the flock ranks are full. I, on the other hand, feel like I could handle a few more in my flock. I'm not sure if you read my earlier posts, but I plan on getting a few friends for our budgie because right now she's a lone budgie :( sooo maybe 4-6 budgies total is the number in my head. Plus Chili. And then 1 more as a foster..maybe 2...depends on what the magic number is for my flock :)

Amazons ARE jealous birds!!! Jackie was very jealous at times...sometimes all it took was my hubs simply talking to me....lol

A Hy?? Oh heck yeah!!! That would be amazing!! Those guys are just amazing and gorgeous.

I have my bird radar on, but I have to wait until we're in the new house before I even *think* about bringing more birds home. But other than that, I could probably convince hubs of anything as long as I *know* I can handle it.

Little did I know, when we brought our first bird into our home last year, that we would fall so madly in love with her and want to have even more share their little lives with us. Having 5 (soon to be 6) birds in our home brings so much joy and happiness to us. I can't imagine having a life without them!

I am totally addicted to parrots. I hadent owned one in years and then Skittles came into my life, a month ago lol. And needless to say I was hooked. The opportunity for Bruno and then Tink arose and I of course could not refuse.

My family often makes cracks about how I should put a pet store sign out front of my house. I don't care though because I know I take good care of my home and animals. My house is clean and I can afford vet care for all my pets.

Yes my birds are alot of work and take lots of time from my day. But I love them and the time I spend with them. I love gaining their trust and getting to know each of their unique personalities.

Having multiple birds is fun! Quarantine however, can be a pain in the butt. But you adapt and time does fly.

I think if you know you have the time for another bird, then go for it!
