Okay, this comes under the heading of "lights are on, but nobody's home."

So, Saturday, it's raining fairly heavily, but I need stuff out of my car. I'm barefoot, and don't want to go out in the rain barefoot, so I throw on my flip flops, run out to the car, and get what I need.

Not wanting to track across the carpets with wet flip flops, I kick them off just inside the door when I come back in the house, in a "before coffee" moment of supreme idiocy...

By the time I'd finished my Coffee. Tusk and Lila had finished off another pair of flip flops....

Trust me! This one is a visual... nothing left but the fabric!

Haha! "nothing left but fabric" well that's no good Mark :18:. Sounds like you need to buy a case of cheap rubber flip flops. Some to wear, and some to toss on the floor as bird toys :).

Well, the stupid thing is that this is the third pair they'd done that to!

At what point do I remember that I cannot under any circumstances leave flip flops (aka Tusk & Lila's favorite shredder toy) by the front door.

THAT REALLY IS ON ME THIS TIME...

LOL! Have to stay sharp with birds in the house!

So THAT'S why I've seen big-bird toys that incorporate a flipflop shoe! Obviously it's all the rage. I'm sure it was just a simple misunderstanding. :)

Actually, if I could find a cheap source of flip flops, that would be the shredder toy of choice for Tusk and Lila...

But since I can't, we'll have to stick to phone books - unless of course, I go outside before I have had my morning coffee, and am not thinking clearly.

Set it by the door, you're telling me IT'S MINE NOW! They'll each waddle down and grab one, and drag it under the cage, and the next thing you know, it's the size and consistency of playground rubber material.

I've seen very cheap flip-flops (children's size to adult) in the Dollar Store. You should make a trip there. I bet they have a lot of stuff your guys would love to tear up.

Just don't bring your birds TO the Dollar Store! You might have a bigger bill to foot!
