Nice, enjoy the excellent adventure and take lots of pics and videos! Be safe!

Lol, what an electronic world we live in. Salty just got up, had his avicake breakfast, and is nattering away on his cage saying ' salty, good boy, up, what chas doing, and amazon gibberish' , waiting to meet Amy, his first parrot to parrot meeting since he left his little sister at the shop. Oh and to meet Jim too. Wouldn't it be fun to live stream the meeting?

Sounds like fun! I love that BB no longer eats his formula, but Amy will! Way to keep the zon stereotype of being winged pigs going there Amy lol:rolleyes: Hop you have a safe trip and lots of fun for the birdies (and humans) while up there.

Drive safe and have a great visit. Looking forward to alot of pics.

I'm so excited for you all! I wish you could live stream it, that would be fantastic! But videos will work as well:)
Safe travels!

Enjoy the meet and greet party and have fun one and all...it better be live streamed now that you mentioned it Wrench13 or else we will all be very disappointed :)
I guess we might settle for a couple of good videos though :) Have Fun :)

Well Jim is on his way home after a great visit. Thanks for coming down, bro. Amy and Salty met each other, and shared Salty being for a bit . They kissed a little, but after a long trip for Amy, and Salty getting a bit territorial, we thought is best to keep them separated mostly. Jim and I spent a good many hours bsing, quaffing a few brews, and had a great chicken bar b que dinner thanks to geri. Of course Amy and Salty had chicken bones. Jim said Amy was not quite herself, likely cuz of the heat and trip, maybe that's why she nailed me, but hey that's part of messing with parrots. All too soon it was time for them to go off into the sunset, but not before we made plans to ride up and visit Jim at sometime soon.

I'm so glad y'all had a great time! Great parrots, great food, great company...who could ask for more?

Sounds like you all had a Great time and lots of fun parrots and Parronts alike :) Safe home Jim Amy and BB :)

Just got in..NY traffic on the LIE was not good  Then an accident in Bridgeport CT.. On the way down Amy was in her carrier, one eye looking out at me,beaky, thru one of the slots like she was saying "C'mon Dad...let me out" So I stopped at a service center and let her sit on top of her carrier, then I felt sad for her,and she rode the rest of the way on my shoulder. She got a wave or two from passing motorists, and the toll collector said hi to her lol.
On the way home she stayed in her carrier, but hung UPSIDE DOWN from the carrier door/grate..mumbled a bit.
she was pretty good considering she took a chomp out of Al.. SORRY BUDDY!
Salty was a bit skittish with me,but he did step up and "shook" hands..what a smart guy he is. He demonstrated his rings and pegs and preformed flawlessly.
Al has a scale and we weighted both fids..I was surprised at the size difference between the birds,Salty weighing in at 272g's < I think,or was it 242? sorry..I'm old lmao> and Amy gained a few! She was at 504g's..little porker that she is.
Amy brought a bag of nutraberries and 2 honey sticks for her new pal. they both had chicken leg bones,a couple grapes, and a nutraberry or two.

For a first meeting, they did pretty well.no feathers flew, and they did kissy kiss lol. Salty was a character! very active, and was quite vocal at times. he allowed Amy to rest on his T-stand and mini tree/wood thingie on the table, and she even played with a toy.

It was an awesome time, that ended way too soon. Al and Geri and his son and I talked about all sorts of stuff..I'll post pics tomorrow and see if the video is any good  ;)

Scott..I wish I could meet EVERYONE on this great forum! If I ever won the lotto,I'd buy one of those "tour" buses..yanno...the type rock stars use.. set up a big "bird room" for Amy and Beebs..and go visiting! Man,what a blast that would be!!!
