We went to Niagara Falls Canada last month and visited Bird Kingdom. It is a huge inside aviary. The whole family enjoyed it immensely!

Here are pics taken by Bird Kingdom while we were there:

All of us holding Boris the Alexandrine! I just loved this little guy!

My son Marcus

Myself

My husband Brad

My daughter Morgan

Us feeding the Lorikeets!

More pics of the aviary are on my blog post here: The Sweet Life Of A Parrot: Niagara Falls Bird Kingdom

I also got to meet their Hyacinth Macaw! We didn't see her and the brochure showed a hyacinth so my husband mentioned it while we were at the gift shop and we got a private visit with her. I was super excited and actually got teary during the visit. She was just so amazing! Here is a pic:

For more pics of this gorgeous girl and the story on our meeting go to my blog post here: The Sweet Life Of A Parrot: Meeting A Hyacinth Macaw

What a gorgeous family you have, Blanca!
It looks like y'all had a great time, I wish we would have stopped by there when we drove through, I didn't even know about it.
Is it Boris who made you lean toward adding an Alex?

Awww...thank you Terry! :D

We did a vacation in Toronto last year and stopped for the day in Niagara Falls. We stopped at a brochure kiosk and saw that there was soooo much to do their including Bird Kingdom! What an awesome place. But last year we didn't have much time to stop so we planned on returning to do a vacation there this year and Bird Kingdom was on the top of our list! They really do a great job there!

And yes, Boris is the reason I decided I would love an Alex! :smile015: I fell in love with that little guy! :D

That must have been a great time!
I met a hyacinth about 6 months ago, and being in their presence is absolutely amazing.

That is for sure! I love that my family gets excited about this stuff, too! :)

That looks awesome! I took my kids on a Disney Cruise to the Bahamas & we toured their Aviary in Nassau. Feeding the lorikeets wad so much fun.

My son said feeding the lorkieets was his least favorite part but he looks like he is having fun in the pic! Don't you think? LOL! Besides I was the one who got pooped on as soon as they landed on me!

Amazing photos again!!! And I'm now feeling I missed an opportunity. I was working in Buffalo, NY and didn't know this was there. I'm making a note for the future. Great pics and thanks so much for sharing. I hope your family enjoyed it and are looking forward to bird adventures going forward.

It was a great place! If you are ever up that way again be sure to check it out. Whenever we find anything related to parrots when we travel, we are on it! LOL! I'm just glad my family is with me when it comes to places like this. My hubby enjoys the birds more then he will admit! ;)

As always, fantastic photos, Blanca! What an awesome place to visit! You know a couple more pics of Brad with that big grin on his face with a bird on his arm and his secret about not enjoying the birds is going to be a thing of the past!
