Some Lovejoy bath time cuteness from this morning - naturally it was only a quick dunking while the camera was on him and he snuck back for more a bit later when I wasn't watching. He's gotta keep those pretty feathers all spruced up for his Peachie girlfriend, after all!!

Thank YOU for enjoying his videos, Uncle @SailBoat! It certainly is a joy to make them, and since Lovejoy has turned into quite the water baby, bath time is something I get to enjoy almost every day

Captured at long last, some video of what snuggle time with Lovejoy looks like!! Apologies for poor quality, snuggle time is generally a two handed job and he did NOT appreciate me holding the camera up in his face instead of giving him my 1000% undivided attention!! And the sound in the background is rain on the roof

They really are, you know. Very relaxing too. Whatever magic it is that he has in those feathers I wish I could bottle it and sell it as a cure for insomnia, it'd be worth a fortune!!

Look at these two, all innocent like butter wouldn't melt in their beaks! I've just spent the morning hanging these seagrass mats up against the bricks that sit behind the shelving where I keep all my bird stuff in the bird room. Why? Because all four of them like to sit on those travel cages and chew on the brick wall, which drives me bonkers cos it CANNOT be good for them!! My house is very small and there is literally nowhere else I can store all my bird accoutrements, so this is just the latest attempt to stop them chewing the bricks. So far so good, but now that purple curtain will have to go cos Peachie likes to chew on that too. Follow me for more interior design tips, folks, cos there's bound to be yet more after this!!

Oh I'd really prefer it if they didn't climb on them, but you know how it is, that'll probably be next

They look like they are having an official conference about how to proceed with deconstruction in the most time efficient manner. "Okay! Quadrant A! Peachie that's you! Quadrant B? Where's quadrant B? What's your report? C'mon birdies let's Move!"

I put some chew toys up so they’ve got something to chew on other than just the mats, otherwise they’d be through to the bricks pretty fast. Will still have to set something else up to stop them climbing all the way to the top and getting at the ceiling though, so stay tuned, more pics to come!!

I made that toy out of a bunch of bits and pieces on a metal skewer. But it’s easy enough to make, and they all love that ball that Lovejoy’s chewing, it’s stuffed with little bits of crinkly paper that they love throwing on the floor!!

Ok here’s the latest incarnation, with a cardboard poster tube zip-tied to the top so they can’t get a grip. In theory anyway!!
