A question to breeders

I have been breeding cockatiels for roughly 2 years, and have been handfeeding even longer. All of my birds are sold weaned and either to the new owner or on occasion to the local bird stores. My question is do breeders ever collaborate with another person to handfeed/raise there birds? If so how would I go about creating a relationship like that? I would love to raise some macaws, cockatoos, amazons, greys or other large birds but I just don't have the free space to breed them myself. I have plenty of time and room for babies just not sure how or if I can link up with a breeder that would want that kind of relationship. I know how to handfeed and would be willing to learn anything they wanted me to. Any ideas? Suggestions?

Yes, absolutely!
Try contacting some breeders, and just let people know you're interested! Work out how you'll split the costs and sell price, and make sure you figure out a contract or agreement form if it's someone you don't really know.

Just any breeder in my area? I would be willing to drive pretty much anywhere in or around California. Plus I already have brooders and supplies for hand-feeding. But I should just ask up front?

Brooke, are you looking to 'just' help nearby breeders raise their babies, or are you also looking to sell their offspring?

There are countless brokers in the US. I'd just caution you of possible disease transmission to your own flock. :)

I have a completely separate room of my home that is set up to be a bird nursery.. That room is off set from my flock, the attached bathroom would be used to wash there supplies, so I'm not too worried about illness spreading through my personal birds.

I would be content just hand feeding but I'm also willing to sell them myself. Again I'm just unsure how to approach this with the breeders or "brokers"

Seriously thank you for any and all information

I guess in my opinion I would love to raise and help sell them, but only in small groups, I can't breed them myself but I want to care for some babies, where I can socialize them with my family and pets, I would want and need someone who has a healthy flock and wants to make a arrangement that benefits both the breeder, myself and the birds
