Hi everyone! My name is Robin and I don't yet have the pleasure of adopting a beautiful bird. Right now I am taking my time researching birds and would like to volunteer with rescue birds to learn more. I will be reading as many of your postings as possible! Welcome to the forum, Everyone here is very nice
(cause we are all parrot people LOL)

I think volunteering with a rescue is a GREAT idea
You can also visit breeders and pet shops that specialize in parrots

Did you have any size or temperament in mind?
Some birds are more cuddling, and some birds are a bit less "touchy-feely"

Welcome Robin! You are very smart on waiting and trying to figure out the parrot world before you go out and get one! Many people don't do that and get a macaw or even a conure and that's why there are lots of rehomed parrots! and I hope you have a great time on the forum and I hope we can answer any questions you might have with any parrot! There are some awesome people on here that will help you!

Hi Robin, glad you could join us! You are in good company. I too, am so glad you are putting a lot of thought and research into choosing your future companion. You and your beautiful bird will be happier for your effort. So many parrots to choose from!
