I have been having a really hard time finding a job here, but yesterday I secured a job as a nanny which is fine, no ideal, but you take the job you can get! I'm relied to be bringing in an income, finally. That's the blessing.

The family had two dogs, a German Shepherd and a ridgeback mix puppy. In the early afternoon, the puppy had a seizure right in front of me and just faded from there. I called to tell them the dog was seizing and they rushed home, but by the time they got the dog to the vet she couldn't even open her eyes and had to be put down. She didn't stop breathing in my arms, but she faded relight in front of me. The dog they carried out of the house couldn't even stand. Today their other dog is crying and searching, and the two year old girl keeps asking for the puppy.

Oh man, what a horrible first day! It's great you found a job though.

I am very pleased to have the job, I have been trying to find one for quite a while.

I have never held an animal while it seized before. I have watched the life seep out of animals plenty of times though, and I recognized it :( the sad part was washing the family hope for the best and tell the girls they would be back with the dog, when I knew she was going to die, and then being there when they got back with the news.

Congrats on your job- terrible first day though!! [emoji33][emoji33][emoji33][emoji33] that's so sad -that poor puppy :( I have seen too many animals have seizures and every time it's heart wrenching and scary as you-know-what [emoji33]

I'm so glad you found a job but so sad that one of their babies had such a moment and passed. I am so glad you were there and could help the family even though the situation was a sad one. Being an individual that works so closely with animals, and advocating for them is immense. I hope that they consider you and your experience a blessing, I know I do.
