Jonesy a Goffins 'Too who had to be rehomed :-(

And a Normal Grey Cockatiel named BB who came home with me on 5/20/2016.
....I just did a post about BB's dander in some one else thread and mentioned he IS going to take a bath,if BB likes it or not..Wellllll...we went to the kitchen sink and a ran a trickle of warm water in the sink ( one of his fav spots to sit in when in the kitchen) and I put the drain in,filled a plastic cup with warm water, and slowly and gently poured it over his back..

Well OMG did that little dirty bird get into it,FINALLY! he opened his arms full ( never seen him fully feathered) and he was soooo pretty! (handsome! ;)) with the white and grey on his arms. He spread them out eagle style, fanned out his tail, and SAT there, letting me trickle water all down his back and head, and he just sat there, waiting for me to refill the plastic cup.

I bet he did this a full fifteen minutes,to the point where the water wasn't rolling down his back,do to the protective oil on his clothes. They actually started to get WET :).

It looked like he thoroughly enjoyed himself, even letting me wrap him up in a clean soft dish towel to dry his little butt off.

Nope! sorry!...no pictures :(

Fantastic, Jim. So many of our fids resist bathing mightily. BB is a trooper!!

It took him this long though to really want it...He actually sneezed yesterday after letting his dander fly,so I assume even he figured it was time to get clean :04:
