My baby tiel won't eat as of this morning. its crop was still full from yesterday, siblings are doing okay and eating normally. I started to notice a cough/sneeze like sound and i noticed my hoodie started getting dirty and that it was sneezing up food. It also sounds like it's voice is hoarse

PLEASE bring your baby to an avian vet ASAP if you can! Sneezing up his food doesn't sound good and neither does loss of appetite. A very young bird needs to eat a lot.

And keep him away from his siblings. Don't want them to get sick too. You might want to give him a little stuffed animal to snuggle with so he doesn't get upset being by himself.

i didn't realize that this one didn't post. the one with it in the box is after this, once it started sneezing up the food, and all of the food on the napkin is the food that it sneezed up in the span of an hour and a half

I would second the recommendation for getting your baby to a vet as soon as you possibly can, and preferably an avian specialist. I'm not sure exactly where in the world you are, but hopefully the following resource will help you locate an avian vet close to you ...

I hope this helps, and I'm wishing your little one all the very best! 🙏

Promise your parents you'll do extra chores (and DO them) or make money babysitting, doing yardwork or helping elderly people in your neighborhood by cleaning their homes- anything to make some extra money.

Update: At the animal hospital, apparently it's not a respiratory issue and it has air in its crop. It may be due to an infection or an overgrowth of yeast or a ruptured air sac. Hoping it's one of the first two, they're going to sedate and empty the crop and watch for a bit to see if that helps. hopefully it works so we can go home and give it's medication. if not, it is most likely the air sac rupture and we would have to hospitalize and prep for surgery, however it would come out to more than 2k which we cannot afford and most likely will have to put it down 😭 please pray wish or whatever you do that it's a simple infection and everything will be okay

I'm praying like crazy for your baby and for you and am thanking your parents for taking him to the vet. My gut feeling is that he's going to be fine!
