Someone is a selling a bird cage that is really good condition for $50. The person is moving, but he kept his female eclectus in this cage. It's dimensions are 54" tall, 18" wide, and 30" deep.

Is that too small? It's obviously quite tall but not very wide. I'm worried about that. My female already has a huge cage, but my male could use a new one. They don't spend too much time in their cages, just to eat, and most of the morning they are in there. Otherwise, they are in with me. But for $50, I thought hey a new cage could be nice for my male. What do you guys think? Too small or would it be okay?

I think the width is too small, but just my opinion!

I suppose at the very least it could make for a decent sleeping cage!

I agree on the width being a bit small. Man, I went to a bird expo yesterday and saw the most amazing aviary for $200. Unfortunately by the time I made the decision to get it, it was sold. :( I think I'm just gonna settle for a used cage about the same size as the one she's in currently 32x23x48 (guessing on the height). Sigh** I really regret not pouncing on the deal sooner.
