I'm amazed at how surprised all are!! This age is extreamlly typical for amazon parrots lol. You tube has a 107yo I belive. Just key search very old parrot. It's tear jerker because I belive the bird has passed .

A lifespan of 60 or more years is not unusual for a well cared-for Amazon. My YCA George lived to be roughly 70 years old, and I have a friend whose Double yellow-headed Amazon is 68. I would call Sam "mature" rather than old!
