Just wondering, if you pull out chest feathers off your bird for a DNA test will it make the bird lose trust in you?
Do plucking feathers for DNA test cause trust problems?

I believe it is done by a clip of the toe nail for a small drop of blood by someone who knows what they are doing like a breeder or a vet.Pedro

No not in my experience & i have done a few by pulling a feather. Also by inserting a needle into the toe just to collect a drop of blood. We have never done the toe nail clip.

I only know of 3 ways to dna .. nail clip for drop of blood, feather pluck, or vet putting bird to sleep and using xray or something ...

Because most mutations can be visually sexed.
