Hello All!

The September contest is starting early. Here is how it will work. I recently brought home my new Congo African Grey. The poor bird does not have a name! So, the contest is to name my bird. Male or female or any kind of name suggestions are welcome. At the end of the 1st week of September my daughter Lydia and I will pick 5-10 of our favorites and create a poll for voting. Who ever submitted the winning name wins the prize! On vote per ip, no proxies , and no hidden referrers. You can submit as many names as you like and the vote will last for one week. The prize has not been determined yet but will be announced soon. Below is a picture of my new FID... Good Luck! P.S. please don't PM names, just post them here for everyone to see.

Greys always seem so dignified to me....He's lovely!

My suggestion...Logan, Taylor...Tyson. I'd probably choose Taylor, as it works whether male or female.

Beautiful CAG. I am so in love with every one of them. They are little feathered jewels. Hence the name Kito (african for jewel). Two others are Obi (heart) and Jengo.

I put Congo and Timneh together and came up with Tigo or Tego. Both pronounced like Teego.

From the picture you posted the first thing that poped into my mind was that he/she looked like former prime minister of England Sir Winston Churchill, very studious and dignified looking.....so I'll go with Winston, good luck with the hew fid

the first thing that I thought when I saw the picture was that the color of his/her feathers reminded me of the bottoms of silver willow leaves twinkiling in the breeze and sun, also the posture is very flowing, and so I suggest Willow. A great name for a girl, and shortens nicely to Will for a boy

wow, those are some really long lists! I haven't got time to cross reference my suggestions so if any of these are already suggested please dis-regard, and maybe there could be a sur-name like "Lord" or "Sir" cuz he/she looks very regal;
