What a beautiful pictures and parrot. To be honest, I never saw a parrot like that. What kind of parrot is it?

I'd never heard of a Mustached Parakeet until I saw Tiki. He is beautiful!! Do they talk? How big is he?

well he is a she
and she is about 4 years old and doesn't talk. She was a rescue and was stuck in a small room with about 10 other birds. The males talk very well, in fact there are a few YouTube vids of them talking.They are among the few parrots that can be sexed visually. The males have an orange beak, females have a black beak. They are slightly larger than a cockatiel.
Tikki is so beautiful! Thank you so much for sharing the pictures, I could look at him all day I have never even seen one for sale up here.

The guy I bought my SI Eclectus from breeds small parrots in small cages, and one of the pairs I saw was a pair of mustache parakeets. Very beautiful birds, I wish I could have taken them all and put them in good homes! Tikki is wonderful.
