I am curious how many people are bird crazy? I own two parrots ( green cheek/quaker, finches( zebra, society, spice, and french mennikan), two breeding canaries, button quail. I practically have birds in every room of my house. That's how bird crazy I am.

I am looking for an amazon work in progress

I have a pretty small collection currently compared to previous times. I have 2 indian ringnecks, a fischer's lovebird, and a cockatiel. I have bred button quail, cordon bleu waxbills, peachfaced lovebirds, budgies, zebra finches and diamond doves. I hand raised a turtle dove from the pin feather stage when I found him on the ground far away from his nest. I have kept various budgies and lovebirds as pets before as well and my list of birds I want is large with sun conures possibly being next on the list. Love my fids!

I only personally have 2 budgies and a mustached parakeet, but at work I maintain somewhere around 600-700 zebra finches and 60 european starlings, and I volunteer at a place where I handle screech owls, american kestrels, and one sweet little house finch. I don't have the time, space, or money for more pets so I get my bird fix outside the home ^_^

I don't really own any birds, they own me. I don't look at birds or pets as a hobby. I look at them as pets and part of the family. I currently care for two birds:

Senegal (Tiki)= second hand bird, which I was fortunate enough to find on Craigslist. She was 11 months at the time and is now about 20 months old. The owners got rid of her because they decided they wanted a dog instead. Their loss, my gain.

Male Eclectus (Mac) = second hand bird that I adopted because his previous owner passed away. He's 3 years old.

Bringing this old post backup....I don't like dishonesty!!!

You. are. insane.
You are taking this post completely out of context.
In the other thread, no where did I suggest that I was breeding pets or breeding birds in my own home.
Even in this post, as you would be able to understand with minimal reading comprehension skills, I did not say in what capacity I was in charge of the breeding operation. Now you know: I DO IT ALL.
Money is not an issue for me when it comes to breeding since I'm not paying for it. Work is.

Yeah, not sure what's going on there ??

Well, since the post is here and I never contributed, I have a Nanday conure, a Yellow Crowned amazon and a Congo Grey. I have also been owned by 3 budgies.

Dude got it into his head that I was lying in another thread, and went all psycho-stalker going through my old posts to find this and take it entirely out of context. It had absolutely no bearing on the disagreement anyway; I think he was just upset when he realized he was wrong.
