This is a new born Macaw. We decided to pull this one when he/she hatched. The "first time" parents are having a difficult time learning how to feed the chicks and have lost three over the past few months after a couple of days. Jake/Jaida (depending on the sex) seems to be doing fine after 4 days and we are hoping for the best.
We pulled him on day 1 last Monday and so far on day 8 he seems to be doing fine. We named him Jake from the scene on Shawshank Redemption.
