Yesterday I got a facebook message from my "friend". She asked me if I wanted to have another bird. I rescued Alex of her. He was in such a terrible condition.
Anyway she didn't want him anymore as he didn't start talking. He was too noisy and he was "evil". She said if I didn't take him she would feed him to the neighbours cat (I wasn't sure if she was joking or not).
When I went to go and pick him up he was walking around their yard. The neighbours cat was there and it looked like it was going to make a nice snack out of the poor boy
So I chased the cat away, of course they laughed it me.
She told me I could have the pest if I could catch him. I caught him, it was too hard as he was clipped.
When I was there she told me that he was
Hand Raised
18months old
Evil and hates everyone
Bites A lot
Feed on an all sunflower seed diet
I did try and educate her last time she gave me her bird(Alex my Alexandrine). Some of it did seem to get through to her. This boy looks in pretty good condition. He has some shredded tail feathers though.
But Ive now convinced her (i hope) to not get another bird. I did remind her about the SPCA and animal abuse. I also took away her "bird supplies", this included his cage, all his food, 1 perch. He had no toys. But his food and cage was very tidy. Much better than what Alex's was.
I'm still going to keep a close eye on her though.
I really hope she doesn't get another bird.
Anyway he has been here for two days now and he is such a sweet heart. She loves to be scratched around his head. He loves his beak being scratched. He also loves to be on his back.
Ill post some pics of him soon, it's bad quality as I took them of my phone.
