Parrots
i am the mom of three parrots:
Dorothy- African grey (cag)
Bowie- blue and gold macaw
Nellie- hyacinth macaw
Reggie- hyacinth macaw
Marnie- white bellied caique
Well, I am sad all over again when dog fancy was in my mail box instead of the usual bird talk. I am wondering if anyone knows of any other magazines that you have found on birds. I have looked and I can't find anything.

I get Parrots, the one the link above points to. In most ways I prefer it significantly to BirdTalk anyway. It's a bit more pricey because it is basically a UK publication. It's far more international in perspective and generally a bit more adult. I recommend it.

If you join one of the Aviculture societies, they have regular publications as well.

Yea, we got the doggie magazine yesterday. My wife thumbed through it then took it to a friend that has dogs.

we only have about 2 issues left on our subscription so it's not really worth jumping through the hoops for a refund.

it's a shame, my wife really enjoyed the magazine. I'd glance through it but never really had the time to read it in depth.

Wow, the parrotmag that was suggested is 48 dollars a year considerablly more than the 13 i was paying for bird talk....hmmm...i think i'll just use the internet as source of information but boy did I enjoy reading bird talk

I haven't gotten mine yet, but I did get a notice saying my subscription was going to expire soon (in 6 months) And no, I will NOT be renewing. I am SO glad I've kept so many Bird Talk issues. Been subscribed for almost 20 years, so I'm VERY very sad to see them gone. :(

Someone else on another forum made this list.... enjoy

Here is my List:
1.www.parrotmag.com(paper-high gloss pages)
2.Australian Birdkeeper (Paper this one is really expensive but people say it's amazing, high gloss pages)
3.Recommended to me:Watchbird from the AFA, its their quartly magazine but it has so much info in it; it is worth getting just for that plus it is the National organization for Birds. Stated by: Kayaker
4.GoodBirdinc.com (online mag)
5.Companion Parrot On-Line Magazine (online mag, they have been having pay pal issues though)
6.WILD PARROTS MAGAZINE 1 If you "like" Steve Brookes on facebook you can subscribe through facebook too. (online)
7.www.birdsandblooms.com(paper -wild birds though)
8. Aviary&Birdsmagazine This is has been going for around 100 years! Welcome to Cage & Aviary Birds - Cage and Aviary Birds
9. Lastly i think its called "wild bird" but i believe it's listed as a bow-tie publication.

I just found this magazine. another to add to the list it is 80$ USD for a year (12 issues) Avizandum Avizandum Birdkeeping Magazine, The Website for Birdkeepers! Bird DVDs, Documentaries, Films, Bird Books, Bird Magazines, Titles include Bird Keeping, Bird Care and many other helpful books for Birdkeepers for sale Online! I think i may get a back issue of this to see what it is like. they have a deal where if you buy 2 back issues you get one free.
