That is awesome! What kind of rope did you use? I have been wanting to make one myself but the idea of using 100 percent cotton rope is not my choice of material.

Fantabulous! I've got rope, "one day" I'm going to make a climbing net for my girl. Where are those plastic things from? Are they bird things, or people things?

They are people things. I bought a big bag full from a toy shop. It contained circles with holes varying from one hole to five holes (and I feel like I've said 'hole' too many times there! ;) )

I used ordinary 100% cotton rope.

It's quite finely woven (much finer than my usual cotton rope) - perhaps that's why it looks different than you'd expect?

Yes that explains the "slick" look. Why was this type of rope chosen? I want something easy to clean and very durable. I understand the reason for the cotton. I have seen homemade atoms made of rope that reminds me of bungee cords.

I wish I had a reason for you Merlee, but I don't ;). I just grabbed the roll of rope from my stash. It could have just as easily been my normal, rougher weave cotton :)

What a great toy! You creative people so inspire me:) I see something like this in my fids futures! (As soon as I get my hubby to make it, I am useless when it comes to creativity!)
