feeding baby food

I thought it strange but I just got off the phone with my friend and she has a sun conure has had it now for 4 years. She said she can't get her conure to eat fresh fruits and veggies so she feeds baby food, she say Lilly her conure will eat pellet food along with the baby food. Is baby food really something that would be good for the birds?

I just got my baby 3 days ago. So far he won't eat a veggie but I did get him to eat grapes and some Halo's.
