My two new conures, one is a hybrid

I've been watching a hybrid conure labelled wrongfully as a yellow sided gcc and today the pet store announced they are closing. So i rushed to buy the conure and I purchased the hybrid and a sun conure for a very low price. I spent $164.00 on the $399.99 hybrid and $299.99 on the $599.99 sun conure.
I gave the sun conure to my friend living with me and I am so happy about it because it loves her so much already!
I think the hybrid is a fiery shoulder conure x gcc

How exciting! You'll have to post lots of picks. Are they imprinted birds?

Whats an imprinted bird? the sun conure has a steel band and the hybrid doesnt. they both came from texas so I assume the sun conure has been through mexican quarintine.
They arent bonded together. The sun conure had a friend with him that was purchased a few weeks ago, so I'm really surprised he likes people so much, he wasnt handled much at the pet store too so we just got very lucky.
My four green cheeks are all establishing a pecking order right now.. and on the 21st I pick up two more green cheeks lol

A imprinted bird is a hand raised that has "imprinted" to people. This is called filial imprinting, it's the time when a young bird(or any animal) learns from it's parent, so in turn baby parrots learn from their human parents. This makes them much easier to retame, and not have the primal fear of us that a parent raised or wild caught bird would have.. But it also has it's downfall as they often don't know they are a bird and aren't taught important skills by their parents.

Imprinting is a very common and accepted thing in the world of pet parrots, and some species(excluding most white cockatoos cockatoos) seem to do better in captivity because of it.

Oh. I knew that I swear haha..
I know the sun conure was by the personality alone. my hybrid seems really timid and I'm going to work with him one on one a lot.
