Busy Budgies got even busier...Popeye and Olive found themselves in our local petshop where I spotted them. It was really unusual to see birds like these in the pet shop as they usually dont even stock the smaller English budgie there let alone the larger exhibition type budgies like these. They were very hungry when they came home as they refused to eat the seed in the pet shop but once they got home they dug into a plate of veggies and a bowl of Harrisons pellets and ate like there was no tomorrow hee hee they didnt even wait to settle into their cage they just headed straight for the food...these two are foodies of a higher class than the others who more often than not refuse to eat their veggies and eat all the seeds from among the Harrison pellets and leave the pellets behind...not so with Popeye and Olive they eat all their spinach and look for Harrisons pellets for desert :)

Awww, Popeye and Olive are gorgeous! Two more lucky birdies to have been adopted by you:) Can't wait to hear the upcoming stories about them:)

Popeye and Olive are gorgeous Mary! What a lucky find :). How funny, they eat so healthy that they look forward to Harrison's pellets for desert! I wonder if they will eventually join Elsa's Circus?

They are precious, Mary! I agree, they were outrageously lucky to land on your safety net, and maybe you were pretty lucky to find them and bring them home. When quarantine ends I know your flock will have a couple more happy members. I can't wait to hear their stories and see more pics!

Thanks Terry hopefully all goes well during their quarrentine and there are no hidden nasties lurking about...these two were pretty stressed and without food for a bit, with the male showing more stress than the female, but with a little luck it wont come against them and they were obviously well cared for before their trip to the pet shop too so its only the travel time to the pet shop that would be the time they could have picked up something...however as the days go by and they are still healthy and the signs of stress are gone Im getting a bit more relaxed about them making it without having picked up any illness.

Thank you Julie I dont know about joining the circus we shall have to wait and see, but if they do join it then bigger circus props will have to be found as they wouldnt fit where Elsa and Houdini fit they are Way bigger than them even twice the size :)

Thanks Allee. i hope they will be happy here.
I cant wait for the quarrentine to end too as Im more nervous with these two thsn I was with any of thr others during quarrentine but hopefully the quarrentune time will be uneventful. They also need to be tamed so that will be fun too :)

I guarantee they are going to be happy with you! What lucky babies they are that you found them, and I can't wait until they join the circus:)
Are you planning on showing them?

Thanks Terry I thought maybe if all goes well and I get them in good feather and looking well in the coming year that I might try showing them...Ive never shown before so this woukd be a whole new adventure if I did go down this route...time will tell but the intention is to show them and I have begun to research a little about showing and all it entails :) They go to the Vet on Thursday for their health check so fingers crossed it all goes well

My 2 Budgies are way more destructive than my conure. They have destroyed a new toy in 3 days, Easy. Budgies are busy little birds for sure.
