Is there any difference in flavor between the shapes, sizes, and colors of Zupreem? My Amazon only likes the large green moon shaped pieces. On the other hand, my Yellow Lab thinks all the leftovers are great.

I believe the moon shapes are bananas, the round orange ones are oranges, the purple grape looking ones are grapes, and the flat circle ish ones are apples. I think the flavor is in the shape not the color, but I am not sure.

There are differences. Iā€™ve not done it but many have posted here saying they did and some are sweeter than others, which helps account for preferring one color over another.

A few years ago, I contacted ZuPreem to ask about that. The answer I got is that the only difference is the shapes and colors-- the flavor is the same for all the colors and shapes. Could be that's changed since I asked them.

Studies have been done that show your mind can even assign a difference of flavor to an object just because of a difference in texture, or especially, color.

Either way it goes - it could be your bird likes the shape or color over the other ones, or it could be a preference of flavor. I found my Sun Conure, Chicken, always was more willing to try very brightly colored foods in the yellows and orange hues.

He was hard-pressed to try anything dark, though eventually came to love blueberries and red raspberries.

My CAG Scooter goes through phases where she prefers one pellet color over the others. For a while, it was the green pellets she preferred, now it's the red ones. Ralph the QP doesn't seem to care and eats them all, even the orange pellets, and Ralph hates most things that are orange.

I admit it. I wondered the same so tasted the different colors and shapes. I put a drop of the same water from a needleless syringe to soften each then closed my eyes, turned around and had a friend randomly offer each to me. They each tasted The same.
