So last night was her last dose of Sporonox! I can't believe 90 days is gone! We can start the aloe detox now as soon as I go buy it (there is a store that carries it in stock about a 30 min. drive from me so I will go on Wed.)

She is a completely different bird than when she came to me Sept. 24th :D She hardly naps during the day at all now, just the occasional 20 or 30 minute morning and/or afternoon snooze. She used to sleep more than she was awake, she hardly played at all, now she is a little green monkey! We go through toys on a regular basis now (like every few days I am making new ones)

Now that her cage is by the window she spends hours every day talking/chattering/beating up toys/hanging upside down/being a HAPPY bird!!! :green: Sometimes she reminds me of my budgie with all the chattering she does! Some of the chatter sounds just like his chatter did, not loud at all just making noises. :D

Her yellow feathers on her head are brighter and she is getting more of the blueish ones just above her cere.

I was hoping her vet appointment could be around the 20th of this month, but DR. L wants to wait until around the 10th of Feb. to check her out and take the new scans. :(

That is awesome news!!!! You and Zilla have made quite the team:)
You so deserve some free time to just enjoy her without all the worry you have had since you got her;)

Congrats to Zilla! Sounds like she's really feeling better! How great is that:D:D:D

Great news! OWA are super pretty birds in person, and I know Zilla is no exception :)!

I took some pics of her adventures last night. I will get them posted later today after I get my deposits made. Work is getting in the way of my fun again...LOL

So happy for you and Zilla, Amanda! What a trooper she is!

That's great to hear Amanda!
I've been following Zilla's journey from the respiratory infection (never knew what to write though!), and I'm so very glad for you that things seem to be working out! I can only imagine to have your green little monkey return to it's lively, playful and probably sometimes naughty natural "self" after being so close to the other end of the dial!

I hope the checkup in Februari bears more good news!

During my trip to the avian vet today she mentioned just how tough amazons are in her opinion! They just refuse to give up! Zilla is definitely setting the example! :D

Yay!!! I hope her test results come back with great news! Too bad you have to wait till February! [emoji51]

She sounds like she's a very happy girl who got her health back thanks to you!! [emoji4]

Wow, Amanda, those 90 days truly flew by!

Hey, this is reason to celebrate!!! You and Zilla are meant for each other. What a love story! :smile015:

Looking forward to the pictures. :)

Great job Amanda!! Kudos also to Zilla's for her tenacity. Hope all is smooth sailing in the future.

Congratulations! I'll never get over how love makes a parrot personality blossom - you've definitely proven that with Zilla! :)

She was so super happy last night when all her dinner was on her plate as soon as I set it in front of her! She got so used to having just 2 bites with meds in them and having to eat them before she could have the rest of her dinner she almost didn't know what to do!

So she licked everything really fast and looked at me like "go ahead take it back now, I already licked it!"
