Your favorite bird bed?

I've been searching for a safe bed for my birds.

Dan the Caique loves his Bird Tent perch.
I had a custom bird tend made for Molly off Etsy, but she wants nothing to do with anything fabric.
Paco, my recently adopted out foster (yay!) refused to sleep without his modified Happy Hut (removed the inside panel and he did not chew anything, ever, not even toys) as he had it for 13 years and very stubborn about it.

For our new Ekkie girl, she is not stable on her feet due to plucked wing feathers and a missing front toe on her right foot and a weak second front toe (scarred, likely the same injury.) That means I need something solid. She is a naked chicken and I know she is cold. Due to my health, I can't make the house warmer but I can provide her somewhere cozy.

I have the K&H Bird Warmers but I think a bed might be a good addition.

Have you tried this bed?

Do you have another suggestion for a bed which will keep a plucked Eclectus warm?

If you think she is cold all the time perhaps seek out sock buddy till her feathering improves.

In light of her feet/toe problem, does she want to perch up high or would she be happier on the cage floor, a flatter surface? If so you could use a sheet ruffled up, as a temp measure.

Have you considered one of those sweaters for pluckers? I watched your video of her yesterday, and that calm of a bird would probably do well in a sweater.

@riddick07 knows where to get sweaters and such for pluckers.

Try wrapping the wood perch(s) with a cloth in the texture and color of her liking. Warm feet will always help!

Good idea! Would it make it hard to grip though, with her having foot/toe issues? What about the vet wrap stuff you all keep mentioning on here? Would that work?

She has a VERY hard time on any type of wood perch. Her poor little right foot is weak from her injury and missing toe. It's long since healed so this is what we are working with.

As far as I see it, there are a few different types of birdie beds.

Happy Hut style
PVC tube style
Tent perch swing style
The Hide n Sleep Condo (firm mounting)
Tent style for the floor?

Here's the thing- she insists on being as high as possible in her cage. I'm considering a heated perch with a tent draped over with the heating panel next to her? She hates having her wings touched and I am worried about traumatizing her by putting on a sweater.
