Yet another Senegal

After owning a GCC for a year now I decided to get her a play mate. I have a friend that breeds birds so I did some side work for her and she gave me a baby Senegal. She had 4 of them and let me pick one, so I picked the youngest female.

My wife came up with the name Dakar, which is the capitol of Senegal so it seems rather fitting.

I am already trying to target train her and she is best friends with the GCC.

Out of my two sennies I find my female to be the quieter and more gentle. However, she would still eat any bird that came too close, including her brother.

Congrats on the new baby. Sennies are great birds.

I like the name Dakar for a Sennie, and it does sound African! It's perfect

I think it's good that the Senegal is the baby (and GCC is the older one) because Poicephalus are notorious for hating other birds UNLESS they are the younger newcomer. Even then it depends, like Karen's Sydney.
