Wow, I never knew that Mangetout was the true name for snap peas! Ya learn something new everyday 🤓
I think Mangetout is a name for s few different peas(snap peas and snow peas), according to my research.

Great sounding chop, Pipp! And I also didn't know that snap or snow peas were called that.

Thanks! The bird love the chop :) although they like to pick out the grains. I add a bit of pellet powder to make it look jummy, it usually works.

I think in my case the peas were snow peas.

They were going crazy because I didn't give them food yet... it's 11:51 am. But, now they are happy :)

That looks like a really good recipe! Do you birds like it?

I would definitely grow vegetables if I could. I might get a small popup greenhouse so I can, though. There's a pretty bad bug problem where I'm at. Everything I planted and grew got eaten up. Then the rain season came and they got water-logged.

Gremlin loves snap peas, lol. What veggies and/or fruits are ultra-healthy that I can give him? I know kale and spinach are supposed to be good.

That sucks :(

Most veggies are very healthy.

I will reply a bit later, I am busy at the moment.

Hot peppers - the hotter the better. My standard chop mix is heavily pepper based and Salty loves it. Red, yellow and orange bell peppers are OK but very watery. Spinach is not supposed to be a every day veggie, I forget why.

If I remember correctly is can cause iron to build up in their systems if fed too often.

All of my guys also LOVE hot peppers!

Yeah, I thought it was cool that birds could eat hot peppers and not taste the capsaicin like we do. It's not so hot to them! Gremlin seems to like sweet peppers, so far, but he prefers snap peas to them.

Spinach has a high amount of oxalic acid. All veggies have them, but spinach has more. You can feed it everyday, just is lower amount.

Oxalic acid causes that some calcium may not be absorbed(calcium in the spinach, not other foods).

Spinach are high in Iron but I don't think it'll cause a build up.
