Well, it finally happened and it was worth the wait! We got Remington Labor Day weekend and today I was able to hold him for the first time! For the last 10 days or so he has put just one foot up on me, but today I got both! I'm thrilled!

Good things take time and it's all worth it with our birds
we use alot of patience but we are definatly rewarded for that patience

yep the trust is definately growing!

One small step for bird, one giant leap for birdkind, Congratulations on the progress :)

Very cool. When you think about his past and how much trust it takes to settle on you, it is a big move forward.

Congrats! Keep it up!

He actually had a great home before me( 13 years), raised by the same family since weaned~ I thought it was going to take longer considering that, but now i can take him in and get his nails, beak and wings clipped and a general check-up!

For such a big bird as Remington I would highly suggest finding a good "Avian Vet" if you haven't already to do the grooming for you ;), again congrats on comming this far with him, it will definatly make it easier getting him to and from, good luck on continued success :)
