YAY!! Hooray!, my avian vet BOARDS!!

I'm so excited, my husband and I will, hopefully, be taking a vacation TOGETHER!! Since Amigo happened, leaving together has not been possible. I just now, contacted my vet's office and found out that they will board Amigo for 40 bucks a day. Sooo, worth it! They want to do blood work on him, two weeks prior, want me to bring his cage, and...hmmm..

Do you think he will be ok for a week in a cage? Don't know, but willing to chance it!

I think he'll probably feel either revengeful and or betrayed when you get back, but he may also just be happy to see you.

I truly hope he doesn't start plucking, I'm his only friend around here, so if he feels betrayed, hope he gets over it, quick! I think he'll be ok, he knows he is loved and maybe the change of scenery will be stimulating for him.

As far as my Sassy pants goes, her previous owner lives close and said she would watch her anytime we wanted to leave. I'm ecstatic! Vacations with my husband have been non-existent since Amigo just because there is no one I know, or trust, that could handle him.
