Yawning?

Rocky sometimes yawns when she is sitting on my arm. Is that anything significant in bird language?
 
Not really, they all do it. Like stretching i guess.
 
My Grey and Eckie do that all the time...
 
Maybe it's a calming signal... They wouldn't be yawning, if they were looking out for predators...
 
Yes, take it as a compliment. ha ha It means they are relaxed with you.
 
Yawning is one of the few things that pretty much all animals/mammals do. It's a sign of being content and sleepy. Merlin yawns a good 5-6 times right before bed. It's very amusing.
 
They yawn when they're content like it was mentioned already. Its cute when they do it!!!! :)
