Worried about lovebirds eye

Hi everyone! I have three birds; a parakeet, a cockatiel, and have had my lovebird for 2 1/2 weeks. Tonight I noticed that his eye looks almost like it has a cataract or possibly something in it. I will look for a vet for him first thing in the morning but I am just worried sick at the moment. I hate to think that a baby so little has an eye issue that can cause possible permanent damage. ANy thoughts? I have included a picture and appreciate any advice. He (or she) is named Jingles.

It can because of an injury, or infection..only the Avain vet can tell. I hope Jingles will be ok. I haven't seen a love bird with that color beak before? Does the beak have pitting or dimples in it?

is it a baby lovebirds? I know some of them don't have solid colored beaks when babies

Just was googling, lol yes babies have the black, since this is young bird improper nutrition can also cause eye problems. It will be good to see what vet says. Hopefully something easy to treat!

Yeah, it's very difficult to see what you're describing in the photo due to the glare off of the eyeball itself...I see an area of "dullness" that might be what you're talking about; it's definitely not a Cataract, as they actually sit right on top of the lens of the eye and are extremely obvious, they look like bright white dots sitting on top of their eyeballs. The only way to make sure that everything is okay is to take him to a Certified Avian Vet/Avian Specialist Vet and have it checked (should have a complete Wellness-Exam during the first month of bringing a bird home anyway, complete with a Fecal culture/microscopy)...but I don't see any redness, swelling, damage to the eye, cataracts, etc.
