Working with an elderly Maribou Stork

that's so cool. i always value the human animal bonds in which the animal still remains wild. jake sounded very cool, but those poor little chipmuncks and peafowl chicks :(, i guess that's just nature. cool article :)

Thanks for the kind words, much appreciated. Re diet - Maribous look slow and ungainly, but they are very effective predators. Some wild populations specialize in feeding upon flamingo chicks during the breeding season; they are useful scavengers as well. Best, Frank
