I've had my baby boy for almost two weeks now, and I have noticed that he has 2 feathers (one in each wing) that bothers him.
I am scared of pulling it and it being a blood feather, or hurting him. Should I take him to the vet? Is this normal while he's molting? He just turned 5 months.

That feather and the one on the the other wing are molting 'naturally' and is not an issue as the feather has twisted in its location and will come out on its own.

Sweet Baby, keep-up the Great Effort!

For my ‘tiel, sometimes when he molts, this happens and it comes off when he flies. Some times (not often), it is just stuck in his feathers and he allows me to pull it off of his other feathers or he will get mad and take it off himself.

My GCC had a feather like this. I’d leave it be and as others have said it will come out on its own- likely soon.

My little Amazon gets these "crazy" feathers occasionally in his tail. They come out on their own, eventually. I am leery of pulling feathers unless there is an emergency (like a blood feather breaking). So I would just wait or take him to your Avian Vet and have them pull it.

I think these 'crazy' twisted feathers bother us more then the birds!
