The amazing resilience of animals. Obviously, escaped companion birds or zoo birds finding a way to survive. Like the wild conures in San Francisco.

Poor nut!

My grandparents live in Miami and they have a mango tree in the backyard. When the mango's are ripe they get all kinds of parrots in that tree. I have seen flocks of Macaws, Quakers, and some Amazons. Its interesting to watch the birds interact in a more wild way. Most of these parrots have become loose/wild due to hurricanes (most blame Andrew, esp since it almost completely destroyed the parrot jungle releasing several different types of parrots - not all them were recovered). Its amazing how birds can adapt.

I couldn't watch but the first few minutes... As soon as Chico heard them he started calling. Maybe I'll try again another day.

You can find pied ringnecks, lutino ringnecks, cinnamon ringnecks, blue ringnecks, and gray ringnecks just to name a few. There is a stage known as bluffing that an adolescent ringneck parakeet will go through that causes it to be more aggressive and prone to biting.

Thanks, I really enjoyed watching that video...
