White fronted amazon
I have a one year old white fronted amazon that is very active in the morning and evening and has the run of the house. He revolves upside down in a not so normal way in the corner of his cage occasionally and therefore beats his feathers all to hell. Any help?

Welcome! Amazon play is usually extremely rough and boisterous. Try to give yours lots of hanging opportunities on his play area outside his cage.

Your Amazon sound like a lucky, happy, healthy bird!
Post pictures!

Amazons playing upside down is fairly common, raking the back feathers over the bars is not a wanted behavior.

As commented on above, provide more toys on the out-of-cage perches to hang from and other toys just to make into smaller bits.

Our DYHA is fully out and about and rarely is found in his cage. If he is there he is likely napping behind the curtain of toys hung from the cage top that creates a hiding place.

FYI: How often does he get a shower?

LOL, mine does the same thing. Just play.

Totally normal!
