Some of you may remember a long time ago that I posted some stories of my interactions with the macaws at a store I volunteer at. Many new, good changes have happened. But also some frustrating things (which really aren't all that bad) To start off, the store has a new owner (my best friend's mom 
) My friend works there once a week so I go in every time to help her feed and change waters and anything else that needs help with. The last time I mentioned about what has been happening, it was about just 1 GW who has decided to bond with me....he is still bonded with me and will climb off of his cage when I am interacting with any other GW (guessing cause he is jealous lol).
I'm already getting a lil off topic...so basically I need to rant a bit. But it will include a fun little story for your entertainment. So I have come to the conclusion that I will be getting a GW when the time is right. I want one SOOO bad and know I will have one in the future. I am trying so hard to be good and not let myself fall for a GW that is for sale at the store currently. The owner (best friend's mom) will even bring the price down for me and let the GW live at the store until I am ready to take him home....but I know that's not fair to this GW. They should be able to go to a home. But of course this GW that is for sale really likes me and I have to force myself to not hold him and stuff so he won't bond with me completely and not anyone else who could give him a great home. The reason I can't take him home is cause I live in an apartment. Even though it's a good size, I'm not stupid and think I can get away with a macaw in an apartment :09: Plus I can't afford to properly care for a GW as well. Have to start paying student loans next month
So here's a funny lil story. One of the reasons I want a GW is cause I seem to be able to connect with them more than any other macaw or large parrot. My friend tells everyone that all GW love me....for example there are currently 3 GW at the store and at one point in time they all wanted my attention at the same time and were either calling out to me or about to climb down to the floor to come to me lol. Two of them belong to the manager (one being the one who has bonded to me) and the third GW is the one for sale and I'm trying to stay distant from him. It's just so frustrating that there are these GW around me that want me and I can't even have them!!!
