- Yellow thigh white-bellied caiques, pets and breeders, and a sulphur-crested (triton) cockatoo
Hi, my name is Jane, and I love to talk about birds - any birds, all the time! I am in the process of selling the very last pair of my breeding birds, and I am experiencing huge grief all at once. A friend of mine deals with animal grief on a forum for that purpose, and it always seemed too sad. But I realized if I could talk to others who love their parrots, and instead of talking about how sad it is, still be part of this world of birds. Chatting about life with parrots would be a joy! So I found you! I have a little bit of knowledge from experiences over the years, and I would love to hear the experiences of everyone. Being part of a parrot community will be a part of a cheerful group. I just know it! So here I am, with my two pets who just love to sit on my shoulders or the back of the couch while I type: "Sparky", my female 12 year-old caique loves to tap her foot to the rhythm of the computer keys, and "Scroogie", my female 25 year-old triton cockatoo (who will strike up a conversation just about any time). They both dance to music (and sing!) when they get bored with me giving too much attention to the keyboard, and I know it is "recess" time and we take a play break. The three of us are very silly, and would love to join you all if you will have us!
