Why are you screaming???!!!

Been awhile since I've been on so a quick hello to everyone!

Anyway, my Sun has picked up a new habit of screaming. This started about 4 months ago and I can't figure out why. I haven't changed my bedroom, their cage, their bed or added anything to my room or changed my apearence or done anything that would make her scared of me.

She screams if I'm in the room, out of the room, sitting quietly, reading, scratch my nose, breath too loudly and if I try to pick her up, she screams like she's being tortured and runs away. I've done nothing but spoil this bird and can not figure out what's going on! I know its that time of the year for them but this started way before that.

Some advice would be seriously appreciated. I'd try to explain more but she's currently screaming her head off cause I'm typing this. Thanks!

Is there anything in the environment setting her off? Tv? Radio? Something outside? Is she bored?

Hard to say what's up, but it sounds like encouraging her to forage and teaching her new behaviors and exercising her (i.e. having her flighted and flying to and from different locations) may all help to get rid of pent up energy?

Hi, Heltiorian. Sorry to hear your sun is being screechy. How old is he now? Could it be the dreaded sexual maturity phase?
